In traditional Chinese mahjong, the four suits are called characters, bamboos, circles, and honors. Each suit consists of nine different tiles, numbered from 1 to 9. The honors suit includes winds and dragons.

English: Da San Yuan in mahjong. When the winning hand contains three pongs of all the dragon tiles, it is called Da San Yuan. The pongs are Zhong, Fa, Bai. In this particular example, if the 4-5-6 circle chow meld were replaced with pong of any kind, the score of dui dui hu could be added.
